Dear Friends,

There are many things in movement all around us at this time: election time with its accompanying ebb and flow of excitement and consternation, the turmoil especially in the Middle East, the concern about our own financial situation here at home, the confrontation between the Catholic Church and the government regarding health insurance boundaries, and many other issues one could name. Often, as I think of these realities a text from Psalm 119:105 comes into my heart: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.” What a blessing to have the light of the Word to be with us, not only in our minds, but alive in our hearts.
